Andrew Sharp, aka Farmer Sharp at his stall in Borough Market, LondonRecently, I caught up with Andrew Sharp, one of the UK's leading sheep farmers. I've come to love mutton after buying his Herdwick mutton from his stall at Borough Market in London.
Farmer Sharp, as he's more commonly known is an extremely affable guy, and I asked him to talk to Can Cook, Must Cook about his mutton and to explain why he doesn’t like rum!

Great Oil Down Friday

Preparing the Oil DownI cooked the oil down a couple of Fridays ago for a few friends. It was a great time. People were united in their praise, however, the argument continues as to whether or not Oil Down should have a soup-like consistency.
I prefer my oil down to be mushy but definitely not soupy. I made two versions, one flavoured with salt beef and the other with saltfish (cod) so everyone was satisfied.
